Calling all Devonport beer enthusiasts! Join us for an unforgettable dining experience as Mr. Good Guy partners with Island State Brewing on Thursday 23 May 2024!
Mr. Good Guy Head Chef, Matthew Mills, will be teaming up with Island State Brewing’s Founder and Managing Director, Scott Seymour, to present a five-course culinary journey. Indulge in the vibrant flavours of Mr. Good Guy’s South East Asian cuisine, expertly paired with five hero beers crafted exclusively for this event by Island State Brewing.
Each course has been meticulously curated by our chef to complement the unique taste profiles of Island State’s beers. Picture the bold flavours of Moo Sadoong (Thai marinated char-grilled pork shoulder) paired with the robust Emperor Penguin IPA, the refreshing king penguin pale ale perfectly complementing the crunchiness of hat yai fried chicken (pictured left), and pla meuk pad cha (dancing calamari, pictured below) paired with club tropicana tropical hazy IPA.

About the Speaker: Scott Seymour, Island State Brewing
With a deep love of great beers, live music, and excellent hospitality, Scott Seymour embarked on a remarkable journey when he created Penguin Beer Co. from scratch shortly after settling down in North West Tasmania with his wife, Tara, just three years ago. Their decision to establish Island State Brewing came about a year after their initial visit to Tasmania for a holiday.
Island State Brewing was born with the enthusiastic support of a group of Tassie locals eager to see a new local brewery in the community. Today, as Devonport’s sole brewery, Island State Brewing supplies a diverse range of fresh-brewed beers across Tasmania.
As an INDIES award-winning brewery and the distinguished brewer, Island State Brewing promises an unforgettable experience for our diners.
