Meet Molly – Mr. Good Guy Buddy
Meet one of Mr. Good Guy’s Buddies – Molly Hancock, the store manager of WING & CO, Tasmania’s oldest and most trusted Asian grocery store for both retail and wholesale. With a rich 70-year history, WING & CO has been the go-to source for our chefs when it comes to premium ingredients. Today, Molly shares what makes their ingredients the secret behind Mr. Good Guy’s extraordinary dishes.
Q. How was your first day working with Mr. Good Guy like? Any stories to share?
WING & CO started supplying ingredients to Mr. Good Guy back in 2018, and we’ve built a strong, reliable partnership ever since. We enjoy working with the Mr. Good Guy chefs, who are always friendly and easy to talk to. As Tasmania’s first Asian grocery store with 70 years of history, we understand what locals love and take pride in supplying the best ingredients to meet those needs.
Q. What do you supply to Mr. Good Guy?
We provide a variety of premium Asian ingredients, from sauces and dried fungus to fresh produce and specialty items. Our goal is to help Mr. Good Guy serve authentic, high-quality dishes. With our deep knowledge of local tastes, we also offer ingredient recommendations to enhance the menu that Mr. Good Guy chefs are planning. Plus, our delivery service ensures a steady, hassle-free supply.
Q. What makes WING & CO’s ingredients special?
Quality is our top priority! Our bean sprouts are incredibly fresh, our imported Southeast Asian sauces bring bold, authentic flavours, and our fresh tofu and dried products stand out for their superior quality. The bao buns are extra soft, and our curries are known for their vibrant, well-balanced taste. We take pride in offering top-notch ingredients that elevate every dish.

Q. Which dish or drink on the Mr. Good Guy menu is your favourite and why?
It has to be the bao buns and curries! As someone with an Asian background, these dishes truly hit home. The bao buns are pillowy soft, and the curries are rich, comforting, and packed with flavour—just like the ones I grew up with. Seeing how well these dishes resonate with both Asian and local diners makes it even more special.
