From 1 – 21 June 2025, Mr. Good Guy, together with ibis Styles Hobart, is turning up the heat with bold, beautiful red lighting throughout the hotel and restaurant. Step into a lobby aglow with red lights, striking red branches, and juicy apples—our nod to Tassie’s famous ‘Apple Isle’ roots. Sip on a signature red-themed cocktail at the bar, and snap the perfect #PTTR25 photo with our glowing entrance pillars and vibrant red driveway. Come help us paint the town (and our restaurant) fabulously red!

Winter Festivities:
As the winter months set in, Hobart and southern Tasmania come alive with Dark Mofo Presents Winter 2025 (5 – 15 June) and Paint the Town Red. Expect vibrant red lighting, red drinks, red decorations, and more.

Special Cocktail:
Join the fun with our special ‘Red Temptation’ cocktail, available from 1 to 21 June for $20. Crafted by our talented mixologists, this ruby-toned delight features fresh, juicy watermelon, balanced with mint and delicate floral and fruity notes from Bacardi Blanca rum. It’s the perfect complement to Mr. Good Guy’s Southeast Asian spices and aromatics this winter!

Exclusive Red Dish:
In addition to our special cocktail, our Head Chef, Ted Lee, has curated two charcoal bao buns with red fillings – spicy glazed fried chicken or cha siu pork – that are sure to tantalise your taste buds! These special baos are available from 1 to 21 June for $9 each, alongside our winter menu. Sounds like loads of fun!
